The End of Winter

Another Nuit Max picture. The "Nuit Max" [link] is a friendly competition where you have to create an illustration from scratch on a theme in only one night. It used to be a 3d only competition but it's now also open to 2d or 2.5d entries. Still I chose to enter in the 3d category once again.

The theme of the Nuit Max #24 was "Seasons" and we had to make a picture where at least two seasons were represented and here is my entry.

Quite often my approach to 3d pictures is to build something and then try to make a picture of it. For the first time, I was able to use a more artistic approach as I made a speed painting [link] of the picture I wanted to make and only then I started to work in 3d.

Softwares used: Cinema 4D, the incredible HAIR plugin for C4D , ZBrush and Photoshop CS2
